Our Story

Hi, I’m Gary Peters – founder of Pop Up Bar Mitzvah and Creative Director of Evolve Events, the award-winning agency I launched over 20 years ago.

I’ve always been deeply connected to the Jewish community, and that understanding of tradition, celebration and culture shapes everything we do. Over the years, I’ve produced countless Bar and Bat Mitzvahs at beautiful venues across London, including the iconic Kent House Knightsbridge – a space I helped turn into one of the city’s best event venues, that you might know better as Westminster Synagogue.

Planning a Mitzvah is exciting – but we also know it can feel overwhelming. From choosing the right venue to managing caterers, entertainment, styling and budget, there are a lot of moving parts. That’s where we come in.

With a background running hospitality venues in New York, I’ve always been focused on exceptional service and I’ve built a team that shares that same ethos. We’re here to make your life easier, your celebration stress-free and your vision come to life.

As an event planner, my goal is to make the extraordinary feel effortless. From the initial idea to the final flourishes, we’re here to delight your guests and deliver the ultimate Bar or Bat Mitzvah celebration. Having grown up within the Jewish community, I’m uniquely positioned to understand the religious and cultural nuances that make these events so meaningful.
